What you look like, who you're attracted to, how you identify, what your biology is, what your ethnicity is... you name the trait or characteristic. None of those things matter.
GASP! Whaaat? Of course they matter! I'm so offended!
No, you're not listening. None of those things matter BECAUSE... none of those things determine the most important thing. None of those things are Who You Are, anyway.
What's more important than my identity?
Your conscience. Are you a truly good person? Do you always do the right thing? Do you even know what the right thing is?
This perspective isn't one you ever hear about. It's always the Left versus Right argument... not the WRONG vs RIGHT argument. Sure, people will throw those terms around, but do they really know what they mean? Most do not, sadly. I know I didn't get the full picture for a long time.
People get so wrapped up in their identities and trying to protect them that they skip over morality to defend them; and, in so doing, they cause harm. A big reason this happens is because they don't know what morality really is. What goes along with that is not knowing what actual human Rights are. If you don't know what Right means, you can't know what a Right IS. And there's an even bigger reason for that.
Okay, know-it-all. What's morality, then? (eye roll)
It's simple. It has nothing to do with personal beliefs, or religious dogma, or preferences, etc. Here's a very simple chart:
If something is Right, then it is Correct. It's based in truth. It is moral because actions based in it do not cause harm to others. If something is Wrong, it's Incorrect. It's not based in truth. It's immoral because such actions do result in harm to others.
So.. what does "harm" mean, then? There are countless Rights, but only a few legitimate wrong-doings. Each wrong-doing has one thing in common: they're all forms of Theft. When you do something harmful to another, you're taking something from them that doesn't belong to you. Let's go over each one:
Murder – the theft of life. You're taking life that isn't yours to take.
Assault – the theft of bodily well-being which isn't yours to take.
Rape – the theft of someone's free-will choice to sexually associate with whom they choose... which isn't yours to take. It's also a form of assault.
Theft – the theft of someone else's personal property that they rightfully acquired which isn't yours to take.
Trespass – the theft of someone else's security in their private living space which isn't yours to take.
Coercion – the theft of someone's free will choice which isn't yours to take.
Deception – the theft of someone's ability to make informed decisions; the theft of truth... which isn't yours to take.
How many people engage in those wrong-doings and attempt to justify them? How much violence, theft, property damage, trespass, coercion and deception is done in the name of some "greater good?" Far too much. Why? Because people don't know the objective difference between Right and Wrong, and therefore do not understand what human Rights are. We just went over it. A Right is an action that doesn't cause harm to another being. That's it. And guess what? Every single human being has the exact same Rights. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying to you.
People can make claims that certain groups of people have more Rights than others, but that's all they are: claims. They can even act on those claims, but it never makes them real, legitimate, or binding.
Who are the biggest liars when it comes to Rights? "Authority" figures. Government. They want you to believe that Rights come from them. Or they want you to believe that Rights are socially decided upon. Either way, it's false.
So what does this have to do with identity? We think our identities, or our beliefs, or our genes somehow make us special or superior; and as a result, we end up causing a ton of unnecessary conflict and suffering. This lack of understanding of Morality makes us infringe upon and violate the Rights of others in an attempt to defend and protect those identities. We often call upon "authority" figures to help with that like children tugging on mommy or daddy's leg. Most people are guilty of this, and it's all due to deliberate social conditioning.
But we all have the same Rights... not under man's "law," under Natural Law. Man's "law" is meaningless. It's just the whims and decrees of other human beings who think they're superior, who think they have the "right" to tell other people what Right and Wrong are. Morality isn't relative, though. It's inherent in Nature. It's a Law of Nature. Understanding this is called having Conscience. Conscience isn't a thing. You don't have "a conscience," you HAVE conscience. Conscience is knowledge.
Break down the Latin: con- meaning "together," and science meaning "to know." To know together. AKA common sense. Knowing the objective difference between Right and Wrong, and knowing what Rights are, SHOULD be common sense. Sadly, that isn't the case right now, and that's why everything is a mess. We think "what's right for me is right, and what's wrong for me is wrong," and try to impose that onto other people. What happens when we do that? We violate their Rights. We do horrible things in the name of some "common good," thinking the end justifies the means. It doesn't.
Look at the etymology of the word "justify": jus- meaning "right" and facere meaning "to create; to fashion." Put them together: to create a right. A wrong cannot be made into a right, nor can a right be made into a wrong.
Regardless of what your politics are, you're both wrong to think that your race, gender, sexuality, or genetics makes you special and more deserving. All of our Rights are the same. No human being (or group of human beings) has the "right" to tell you otherwise or to act otherwise.
Every single human being does have the Right to be left alone. That's the First Human Right: to be left alone to exercise our Rights without restriction, coercion, or duress.
A person who doesn't understand any of this will not respect it. They'll continue to do immoral things, and continue to support and condone any institution that encourages them or intervenes for them... like government. If something is wrong for you to do, asking someone else to do it for you doesn't change morality. It's still wrong. It's still harmful. It's still violence.
So again... how you identify makes no difference to me. Your Rights are the same as mine, and I'll never treat you otherwise. I don't have to like you or agree with you. All that matters is whether you're a truly good person who knows definitively the objective difference between Right and Wrong and doesn't violate other people's Rights. If you can do that, we're good.
If most of the world understood this, and didn't let their egos take control, things like racism, sexism, and even wokeism would be something we look back on and say "wtf were we thinking?" We'd all leave each other alone. I'm not saying we'd have some utopian society because that's impossible. There will always be bad apples.. just not as many.
The more Moral a society is, the more free it is. It's a Law of Nature. Anything less than Natural Law will always lead to suffering and chaos. It's time to abandon all these false systems, develop True Conscience, and stop believing in "authority." You are Sovereign. You are the ruler of the Kingdom of Self. So am I. Let's act like it.
